Dramatico
Entertainment was founded in 2000 by songwriter, musician,
producer and composer Mike Batt. In April 2008, Dramatico
was ranked 31st in the Real Business ‘Hot 100’
fastest growing UK firms and was the fastest growing company
in the entertainment industry. In addition to Gurrumul,
the label’s roster includes multi-million selling
Katie Melua, Marianne Faithfull, Carla Bruni, Sarah Blasko,
Asa, Jem, Andrea McEwan and Florence Rawlings.
Dramatico
opened its US office in 2008 headed by music industry
veteran Josh Zieman. The US office is home to Katie Melua.
Since 2008, Dramatico has released four Katie Melua albums
including her latest project The House out August 3rd,
2010. Melua has toured the States extensively, performed
on the Today Show and sold over 200,000 records.
In
additon to Katie Melua, Dramatico US will be releasing
the US debut by award-winning, blind indigenous Australian
musician, Gurrumul, who's self-titled debut has achieved
major worldwide acclaim including platinum sales in Australia
and a top 10 World Music album in the UK, France, Germany
and Belgium.
The
Dramatico US team has also picked up the hugely successful
Australian chanteuse Sarah Blasko with her album As Day
Follows Night, produced by Bjorn Yttling of Peter, Bjorn
and John set to hit American soil in August of 2010.

US is a small team of dedicated and passionate music fans.

Josh
Zieman, U.S. Operations
Josh
Zieman runs the U.S. Company which is an associated label
of Universal/Motown Records. Josh also oversees artist management,
marketing and publishing units.
Josh
brings over 25 years experience managing artists and marketing
music at both major and independent music companies. Most
of his expertise is in creating and implementing marketing
campaigns for new, emerging and superstars artists in the
pop genre, and he has also had a lot of success with artists
who were at the top of their own niches and crossed over
into the mainstream. Josh has received 38 RIAA sales awards,
and has been directly involved in selling more than 50 million
albums in the U.S.
Prior
to joining Dramatico, Josh was Vice President, Marketing
at EMI’s Manhattan/Blue Note. He was also, General
Manager of Papa Joe Records, a division of Geffen Records
in Los Angeles. He has also held the positions of General
Manager at major independent label Razor and Tie and Vice
President, Marketing at Columbia Records and Mercury Records
in New York. Josh also spent 7 years at Side One Management
working with Rosanne Cash, Steve Earle, The Icicle Works
and Modern English.

Brittany Leib, Director of
Publishing
Brittany
spearheads all creative, business development, and administrative
aspects of Dramatico’s three publishing entities
in the United States. With a solid publishing background
from her work at the Harry Fox Agency in the Publisher
Services department and ABKCO Music and Records in the
Licensing department, Brittany works closely with Dramatico’s
songwriters, engaging our clients and connecting with
industry professionals to create fresh and significant
business opportunities.

Rachel Mintz, Director of Marketing
Rachel
Mintz has close to 20 years experience working in the
industry. Her background includes a history of both independent
and major label/distribution experience. Beginning with
her first job at TVT Records on the ground floor of Nine
Inch Nails, Rachel has worked with a variety of artists,
projects and labels including Bon Jovi (multiple releases),
Lucinda Williams (Car Wheels on a Gravel Road), Moby (Play),
Brandi Carlile (Brandi Carlie), Gomez (How We Operate),
Kathy Griffin, Def Jam, Provident Label Group, Music with
a Twist, ATO, Elektra, and more. Rachel has been involved
with many successful grassroots marketing campaigns, has
forged relationships with several industry tastemakers
and works closely with the team at Dramatico in continuing
to develop innovative and groundbreaking talent.
