Reyna Larson is a Los Angeles based performing songwriter,
originally from Chicago.
As a performer, she has fronted two successful Chicago
bands, sold thousands of records independently, shared
the stage with the likes of Macy Gray & Kat Deluna,
Sophie B. Hawkins, and Roger McGuinn, and Michael
Mcdermott at various venues throughout the midwest,
Los Angeles, and New York.
As
a songwriter, she has written original music for theatrical
productions and indie films, co-created a music program
for inner-city kids with National Louis University,
written and recorded a song for a Fox pilot, and is
very happy to announce her recent publishing deal with
Dramatico.
She
is currently playing live shows in southern California
and getting ready to do some more recording.
In
a nutshell, the past 10 years have gone like this:
1998-2003
lead singer/songwriter of the band Mabel Mabel
2003-2004
teamed up with producer/drummer Brian Deck (Modest Mouse,
Iron and Wine) to record the EP Stifle Yourself and
to form the band Tilda Tora
2004
went solo and released a roots album produced by Dave
Ramont called Some Folks Need a Name on Clayhead Records
2005-Present
moved to L.A. Teamed up with producer Mark Cross (Shelby
Lynne) and started up on new material.
Played
some shows, worked on a new EP with Colin Studybaker
(Iron and Wine, Squirrel Zippers)
